保护区十分重视生态系统研究，先后有国内外20多所院校及科研院所的专家、学者来赣江源保护区考察，开展合作研究，并取得了一定成果。经过保护区工作者几十年的保护、建设和管理，江西赣江源国家级自然保护区已成为全球重要的生物基因库，是科研、教学实习、生态科普教育天然课堂，是开展生态文明的重要阵地。早在2015年，这里就被赣州市政府授予“赣州市生态文明示范教育基地”。

The protected area places great emphasis on ecosystem research. Experts and scholars from more than 20 domestic and international institutions of higher learning and scientific research institutes have visited the Ganjiang River Source Protected Area for inspection, conducted cooperative research, and achieved certain results. After decades of protection, construction, and management by the workers in the protected area, the Jiangxi Ganjiang River Source National Nature Reserve has become an important global biodiversity gene pool. It serves as a natural classroom for scientific research, teaching practice, and ecological popular science education, and is an important frontier for promoting ecological civilization. As early as 2015, it was awarded the "Ganzhou City Ecological Civilization Demonstration Education Base" by the Ganzhou Municipal Government.
